BYS
BLAIRGOWRIE YACHT SQUADRON
We’re Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron. Our club of over 2,200 people has a long and proud history dating back to the 1950’s. Over all that time one thing has been constant; we’ve come together united by a love of sailing.
It’s a passion that drives us still, but we also understand that ‘getting onto the water’ is just one part of what makes a yacht club the place your friends and family want to be a part of. While it’s true that our racing program is a major focus of everything we do, we’re much more than just sailing and marina facilities. Being a member at BYS is about being part of a community that believes in the power of three little words – Family, Friendship, Sailing – to create a member experience like no other.
Those words are at the heart of everything we do. It’s reflected in the diverse range of sailing and boating we support from Off-The-beach, J70 sportsboats, keelboats and powerboats.
It shapes the way we run our sailing program and the experience and professionalism we bring to staging regattas. You can see it in the smiling faces of our volunteers.
You can feel it in the way that families feel welcomed. It creates the sense of community that comes from just hanging out and having fun. It drives our commitment to providing world-leading member Clubhouse and shared facilities like the lawn, BBQ’s, Junior lounge, member change rooms, deck, bar and dining room. It ensures that our world-class Marina continues to deliver to the very highest standards. And it makes us a favoured destination for functions, events and weddings to remember.
But don’t take our word for it, why not come by and see for yourself? We love welcoming new members and would be happy to show you around. And if you’re looking for something special for your next special occasion, close to all the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula, we think you’ll like how we can help make your day memorable.
