SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

There’s always something happening at BYS

There’s more to BYS than sailing . . . A great way to meet other members and enjoy spending time at your Club to join one of our social groups. They’re a great way for friends to spend time together off water and an ideal way to make new friends too.

With so much sailing in our lives it’s surprising how much else we can pack into life at BYS. It seems like not a week goes by without something new. So please make sure you check back here often and feel welcome to come along and join in, it’s a fantastic way to meet new friends and build lifelong connections.

Keep an eye out for event updates in the club newsletter and check the online calendar for all the details.

Friday Night’s

Friday night is the meat raffle in the Racing Lounge. Money raised goes to support the patrol boat fleet.

Mystery Day

The Junior Club Captain’s organise a Mystery Day each year (special outing to somewhere like Gravity Zone, Enchanted Maze etc) BBQ days, Easter egg hunt and other fun activities for our junior members.

Young Adults

Our Young Adults at BYS group are busy planning fun social activities for our 18- 25 year old members this year. Keep an eye on the calendar for new events!

Book Club

The book club is a fun social group, who meet regularly for a chat, catch up, and morning tea, and to discuss their latest book! The group communicates through their Facebook group, Days and dates vary depending on the time of year, contact Jane Grimshaw on the-grimshaws@bigpond.com to find out more.

SheSails

While SheSails is all about enjoying your Club in a fun, friendly and safe environment and encouraging women of all ages to enjoy sailing through organised activities, the SheSails groups also meet socially for lunch.
