Welcome to Blairgowrie Marina

On Victoria’s Southern Mornington Peninsula you’ll find Blairgowrie. Only a 75–90 minute drive from Melbourne, the Southern Peninsula is one of Victoria’s leading holiday areas. Adjacent to famous Sorrento and Portsea, Blairgowrie is on a peninsula that separates Port Phillip by just 2 km from the surf beaches and Bass Strait.

And perhaps Blairgowrie’s most famous landmark is the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron with our distinctive pier and marina together with its stunning bayside location. BYS is one of Victoria’s strongest and most vibrant clubs – yet remains relaxed and casual as you’d hope when you’re in a holiday area. The club is one of the three largest sailing clubs in Victoria and hosts large fleets of both keelboats and off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans. Our sailing is generally in smooth waters that enjoy offshore sea breezes, and we enjoy a superb backdrop of the coast as it winds its way from the Sisters at Sorrento all the way around to Arthurs Seat and beyond. For over 50 years, the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron has been a part of Blairgowrie, and for so many of our members the club and the sailing is the focal point of their time on the Peninsula.

Our facilities are state of the art with a new clubhouse providing bistro and bar services, with one of the best views to Port Phillip. The extension of the Blairgowrie marina has cemented our place as the boating gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. As such, the Blairgowrie marina is the perfect destination for your next boating holiday or for a permanent home for your boat. Visitors choosing to berth at Blairgowrie marina will enjoy access to the clubhouse as well as to laundry and shower facilities located directly off the pier of the marina.

With the $25 million marina expansion and clubhouse redevelopment recently completed, Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron offers world-class facilities in a relaxed and casual setting. The club is offering boat owners a variety of options ranging from berth sales on 21-year licences through to shorter-term 1–5 year licences, to short-term rentals of up to a week or two. The new hardstand, travel lift and slipping services are available to all members and marina visitors.
