She Sails Learn & Lunch

First Saturday of the month

The She Sails group meets monthly for lunch at the club.

Each month we will hear from one of our female sailors who will share their sailing story with us. We’ll also let you know of upcoming training, events and regatta news. It’s a great way to make new friends and perhaps find a crewing spot. Purchase your lunch from the bistro menu. All members are welcome, male and female, you just need to be a supporter of female sailors.

RSVP to Michelle [email protected] or phone the office

Saturday 3 July, 11.00 talk & coffee, 12 midday stay for lunch or head out racing

Saturday 7 August, 11.00 talk & coffee, 12 midday stay on for lunch

Melbourne to Osaka & Return with Grant Dunoon

Saturday 14 August, 7 pm

Grant journeyed across two hemispheres racing two-handed to Osaka. While Grant’s focus had been preparing for the race, what took him by surprise was his return trip exploring the remote communities of Micronesia.
Not just for yachties, Grant’s talk will inspire and entertain anyone who has ever dreamt of sailing off over the horizon.

Join us for a three-course meal, good company and be inspired to plan your own adventure.

Get a table together, or come on your own and we will put some tables together. Tickets are $45 per person and numbers are strictly limited, please purchase your tickets early to avoid missing out.

New Members Morning Tea

Our New Members who have joined BYS during the past season are invited to Morning Tea.
We’ve really missed holding these regular events while life has been a little ‘restricted’ so we are excited to hold a larger than usual catch-up. If you’ve joined over the past season please feel welcome to come along.
A lovely opportunity to meet new friends, ask any questions you have about the club and find out about how you can become more involved in club life.
